Anthony french
This is Anthony French—a tattoo artist with almost 15 years of experience in the industry. He has worked as an artist in a number of different states throughout his life, including Tennessee, Florida, Virginia, New Jersey, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
Anthony developed a love for tattooing at an early age as his dad is also a tattoo artist. Since he grew up immersed in the world of tattoos, his love for this artform has only continued to grow throughout the years.
He's excited for the opportunity to be back in Boone to tattoo the wonderful community of people who live here, and he is looking forward to meeting each of you in the near future.
Dylan Rosage
Meet Dylan, one of the owners of Primal Flame Tattoo. Dylan has been a tattoo artist with more than nine years of experience who recently moved back to Watauga County. Dylan's journey into the world of tattooing technically started in Jacksonville, North Carolina, but his love for tattoos and artwork has been evolving and growing since he first took interest from a young age.
He has always been intrigued by symbols and their meanings, and he has been fascinated with the artwork of ancient civilizations for as long as he can remember. He has a deep appreciation for the way that art has historically been used as a medium or conduit for the experiences in life that could not be explained (whether spiritual, rites of passage, or merely a way of honoring those who had passed over). Dylan asserts that the use of symbols allows us to bridge the gap and commemorate the vastness of life’s experiences and journeys in a focused way.
Tattooing for Dylan is such an important and sacred modality. He is thankful to be apart of this craft and honored to be in a position to allow others the freedom to express themselves, grieve a loss, pin the badges of their victories/defeats, or simply give them something that brings them joy. Dylan is looking forward to meeting and connecting with each and every one of his future Primal Flame clients.
Steve Garvey
Meet Steve, one of the owners of Primal Flame Tattoo. Steve has been a tattoo artist with over a decade of experience in the industry. Starting his journey in New Jersey, Steve found a passion at 18 years old to become an artist. He has honed his skills and developed a unique style that is both bold and timeless.
Growing up as a skateboard enthusiast, Steve was always drawn to the tattoos of his idols and found himself inspired to pick up the tattoo machine. Today, he continues to be passionate about tattooing and brings that same energy and excitement to every piece he creates.
Whether it's a traditional sailor tattoo or a modern geometric design, Steve approaches each piece with the same level of dedication and attention to detail. He takes the time to understand his clients' needs and works closely with them to create a tattoo that is not only beautiful, but also meaningful.
